  • Swiss 5 Bear Pit: An excellent way to start the day. Combatants will cycle through all authorized styles in a bear pit style tournament, earning points for each kill. The winner will be determined by who has the most points at the end of our time.
  • Warder Teaching Time: Any warders willing to stay and give one-on-one teaching time, and other wise an open list to fight it, for anyone wanting to have the shorter lunch break.
  • Death-by-Dice Tourney: Take your chances and roll the die, chance will choose your fighting style, and handicap and you will do glorious randomized combat with a different style for each round.
  • Baronial Championship: A tournament to help the new Baron and Baroness select their Champions. Tourney Format has not yet been announced.
  • Melee: The rabble are storming the gates, and they're after the blood of the newborn prince. In this melee-based tourney, the defenders must escape with the prince (a facsimile of a baby weighing about 10 lbs.) from the attackers.

  • Swiss-5 Bear Pit: Combatants will line up with their chosen style. As a combatant is killed, when they get back in line, they will change styles, cycling through all their authorized styles before repeating any. Points will be awarded for each kill and a bonus point for every time you step into the pit to reward those stubborn enough to continue. The winner will be determined by how many points you have at the end of the 50 minute tournament.
  • Death-by-Dice Tourney: A round robin format where you will roll a die to determine your style each round before facing a new opponent. The die roll will determine your style, if there is time for a second run there will be a second die added to add handicaps for bonus points.
    roll style handicap
    1 single lose right arm
2 sword and dagger lose left arm
3 sword and rigid parry lose right hand
4 sword and soft parry lose left hand
5 Case of rapiers lose legs
    6 choice unharmed
  • Melee: One team will be charged with defending the baby prince and getting him to safety, the other teams objective is to kill the prince. Getting the prince to a specified safe zone will be victory for the defenders. Killing the prince by stabbing it or getting the defender to drop it will be a victory for the attackers.

Arts & Sciences

Chancellor: THL Anthoinette Martell

To honor Their new Excellencies, it has been decided to hold a special Bean Count Competition at the upcoming Squires Tourney. We are asking all artisans to prepare gifts that will be given to Their Excellencies to use as largess for their time in office. The requirements are simple: The items are to be in Baronial Colors: white, yellow, blue, or any combination thereof. They will be given to Their Excellencies. Get creative! Woven bookmarks, trim, dangly bits for Viking Treasure Necklaces, buttons, small beaded projects, cording, miniature scrolls, leather items, wood boxes. There will be a token for all entries. Prizes will be awarded to the 3 highest bean counts.
We will offer "Judges Commentary" for folks that would like to opportunity to hear positive, specific feedback on their current A&S project. This is a chance to bring a project and/or documentation to an experienced A&S judge for comment without the pressure of scores and 3 different judges.
